Looking for a job

The Living on the streets of Barcelona guide, gathers the public and private resources in the city that people living on the streets can access directly, without needing a referral from social services.

In this site you can find resources to help you find a job and get career guidance. Keep in mind that if your documentation isn’t in order, you will be able to access some of the resources, but not every career orientation or job search service.

Places where we help you find a job

 

Barcelona activa

  • Address: c/ Llacuna, 162-164
  • How do I get there? Metro L1 Glòries and L2 Clot
  • Schedule: You’re required to previously make an appointment. You can do it by sending a WhatsApp or calling to 608 573 263.
  • Additional information: They provide your guidance with the job searching and they help you make your CV. You need to have your documentation in order (DNI, NIE or passport) and speak Catalan.

 

Servei d’Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC)

  • Address:
  • How do I get there? Metro L4 La Pau
  • Schedule: You must make a call, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The call has no charge; the number is 900 800 046.
  • Additional information: Here you will be able to register as a job seeker. They guide you on the job searching and training. You need to have your documentation in order and a residence permit.

 

Equipament integral Zona Franca

  • Address: c/ Carrer 60, 9
  • How do I get there? Metro L10S Zona Franca
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Additional information: Before accessing the service, you must talk with one of the people in charge

 Feina amb Cor

  • Address: c/ Ardèvol, 5
  • How do I get there? Metro L9 and L10 Bon Pastor
  • Schedule: From Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • They will help you write your CV, look for training courses and guide you with your career. You will need to have a residence permit and your documentation in order.

Poble-sec Day-care Centre

  • Address: c/ Font Honrada, 8
  • How do I get there? Metro L3 Poble Sec and L1 Espanya
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Additional information: They will help you write your CV, look for a job and you can use their computers. Previously, you must speak to a person in charge. There is no need to have your documentation in order.

Assís centre d’acollida

  • Address: c/ Via Augusta, 405-407
  • How do I get there? Metro L6 Reina Elisenda
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. There is a specific service for women, same schedule.
  • Additional information: They can help you write your CV, look for training courses, look or a job; they have gardening, composting and urban farming courses. Must have your documentation in order (TIE, NIE…). You can come with your pet; it’s preferable if they have a muzzle.

 

Àmbit Prevenció

  • Address: c/ Robador, 15
  • How do I get there? Metro L3 Liceu
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
  • Additional information: This space is specific for people who live on the street and use drugs. They can help you write your CV, look for training courses and a job.

  • Additional information: Space specifically for women and people who identify as one. They will help you write your CV, look for training courses and a job.

 

Sant Bernat del Claravall

  • Schedule: Mondays before 10.30 a.m. you can go to the advisory sessions. You’ll need to speak with a person in charge beforehand.
  • Additional information: They help you write your CV and career guidance looking for training courses and a job.

Obra Mercedària

  • How do I get there? Metro L2 Universitat
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 9.30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Additional information: Service for people who just left prison. They help you write your CV and give you career guidance. You must have your documentation.

 

REDAN  Centre de salut mental i addiccions de Gràcia

  • Address: Del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya, 12
  • How do I get there? Metro L3 Lesseps
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They offer a service for women, Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Additional information: A specific space for people living on the street and using drugs. They help with CV writing, career guidance, and job searching. Some form of documentation is required.

Ibn Batuta

  • Address: c/ Sant Pau, 82
  • How do I get there? Metro L3 Liceu and L4 Jaume I
  • Schedule: From Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Additional information: They help you write your CV and job offers. You also can learn Catalan and Spanish. You need to have your documentation in order (DNI, NIE or passport).

Migra Studium

  • Address: c/ del Palau, 3
  • How do I get there? Metro L2 and L3 Paral·lel
  • Schedule: Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from Tuesday to Thursday 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
  • Additional information: You can take basic courses to help you look for a job. You need to understand and speak Spanish.

Bayt al-Thaqafa

  • Schedule: Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Additional information: They support migrants with career guidance and training. Even if your documentation is not in order, you can still access their services. They also offer specific guidance for women.
